Thoughts on Bullying

No one should be bullied or bully people. Looking back I think I might have done some bullying back in middle school. I didn't realize it at that time, but now i know that i was really mean to people. That wasn't the real me though, but it was how my friends were. I have witnessed many people be bullied some by my own friends or just by random people. I wanted to do something, but the thought of them moving on to bullying me was too much. Also I'm not very intimidating. I have never really been bullied. Although my friends do make fun of me, just playing around, but sometimes it actually gets to me, so if someone was purposely trying to hurt me I can imagine it hurting so much more. From what I've witnessed I believe that people bully to try to look cool or to impress others. That's a weird thing to do to try and impress, but people actually find it amusing. They don't think about what that 'funny' moment of bullying will do to the victims future, which could be days of feeling put down or even years. If I were to see someone being bullied today I would definitely try my best to stop it even if it means I will be the next victim.
