What Music Means to Me
Music is part of my everyday life. I listen to music while walking to class, and to be honest it's better than walking with a human. The only reason I walk home, which takes 40 minutes, is because I get to listen to music. I put the volume all the way up. It's so loud that when I get home and take my earphones off I hear ringing in my ears like I get back home from a show and I'm trying to sleep, but I can;t because of the ringing. I like that feeling. I know it can't be good for me, but that's how I get the best experience. The music I listen to depends on my mood or what I'm doing at the specific moment. When I walk to class I listen to mostly rap, because I really dislike school and rappers tend to be aggressive and mad just like me during school, so it's perfect. Walking home I usually listen to bands like Pink Floyd because when the instruments are all I can hear and all I see is nature, it's a nice and happy moment. The lyrics also tend to have more meaning, so a lot of the time I just think about them and it trips me out how smart some bands are like damn how could someone be so creative?! When I'm at home I listen to some weird music that makes no sense and has no meaning because my little sister is always playing it in my room, but I guess when I'm really happy and relaxing it's okay.
